Credential Your Potential

1.  Are you at least 21

     years old?

 

2.  Do you have a high

     school diploma or GED?

 

3.  Have you had two years

     experience in a licensed

     childcare center?

 

If you answered yes to all three,

you are ready to earn a childcare

director credential! Simply attend

40 hours of instruction and

successfully complete the assignments.

Credential Your Potential

is a childcare director credentialing

course recognized by

Texas Childcare Licensing.

It is offered several times a year by

The Training Connection.

 

Course structure:

~40 hours of in-class training over 4

  consecutive days (Th, F, Sa, Su) with

  15 homework assignments

 

~Passing score of 85

  Earn at least 340 of 400 possible points

 

~Cost of $500

 

~Small classes with individualized support

Topics covered: child development, safety, health, nutrition, budgeting, required paperwork, time management, goal setting, facility operations.

 

Students also learn about the NAEYC Accreditation Performance Criteria and the Texas Rising Star Provider Certification Criteria.
